Workplace Yoga

Out of the studio and into the world. Maintain or start your yoga practice where you are, with convenience.

Yoga in the workplace is a great way to improve workplace morale by decreasing stress and increasing productivity. It is also a wonderful way to bring everyone together to do something fun as a group.  A growing body of research suggests that yoga can reduce work related stress that affects bodies confined to desks for hours at a time. Companies are investing in the notion that limiting stress will translate into fewer employee absences, lower health care costs and higher morale, encouraging workers to stick around. Stress harms human health, resulting in higher medical bills borne by employers. Stress interferes with sleep, yielding employees whose judgment may be impaired, making them prone to costly mistakes. Stress shuts down the sort of creative thinking that can generate profitable ideas.    - Yoga Health Foundation.

A healthy workforce is a productive workforce.

*The number of companies offering workplace yoga is clearly on the rise. Approximately one-fourth of all major American employers now deliver some version of stress reduction - David Gelles, NYT reporter and author of Mindful Work, which explores the spread of yoga inside the business world.
